Privacy Policy

Kaquiz is made by an independent developer. It has no advertising, no
analytics, and no tracking. Nothing you do in the app is sold or shared with
anyone. The only third parties involved are Google Sign-In, if you choose to
use it, and Google Maps, which draws the map.
The short version. The app sends your position to the
server every five seconds while it is open, and never when it is
closed. Only one position is kept — your most recent — so there is no
history of where you have been. Only people you have accepted as friends
can see it.

There is no location history
Worth stating on its own, because most apps of this kind do keep one. The
server holds a single row per person and overwrites it. Nobody — including
the developer — can reconstruct where you were yesterday, because that
information was never written down.
Who can see your position
Only people you have accepted as friends. Friendship needs agreement from
both sides: sending a request is not enough, and either of you can end it at
any time. Removing a friend takes effect immediately and in both directions.
You can stop sharing at any time with Pause sharing in Settings.
Your friends are told that you paused — they see the pause rather than a
position that has quietly stopped moving, which we think is the honest way
round. Your last known position stays visible to them; use Delete my
stored location if you want it gone.

Third parties
Google Sign-In — only if you choose it. Google tells the
app your name, email address and profile picture, and nothing else.
Google Maps — draws the map. Google receives the map area
being displayed, as it does in any app that shows a Google map. Your
friends' positions are drawn by the app on top of the map; they are not sent
to Google.
Where it is stored
On a single private server in the Netherlands, reached only over an
encrypted connection. The database is not exposed to the internet.
Deleting your data
Delete my stored location in Settings removes your position
immediately. To delete the whole account, see

Children
Kaquiz is not intended for children under 13.
